****Acuff is clever and definitely has a lot of potential as a writer. I tend to think the website is better than the book, but the book still has a lot of great stuff. It just feels like more work, I think. Like he was trying harder. Which I suppose he probably was. Regardless, he still spotlights the ridiculous and flawed aspects of Christian culture with warmth and humor, and he points the reader back to the gospel on a regular basis. He's not Dave Barry yet, but maybe he will be.
